An Illustrious Journey.

First day of September already. Felt like Its about time for me to close the chapter of my FOP Journey with a post. So many reasons why I decided to involve myself in FOP last year. To make more friends, to improve what I thought wasn't perfect, to be involved in science, and the list goes on. Whatever reason it is, I'm glad to say that I have no regrets because every part of my FOP has been so fulfilling.First up during the summer holidays, was Scamp. Has mixed feelings before Scamp, because my group of seniors are people I have never known before the camp. But my worries were uncalled for because, this group of seniors are just pure gems. All of us are so different, but that's good because despite how different we are, we worked super well together :) And all our hthts, potlucks, play nation, video filming and messing around :')
And the most adorbz group of freshies from Udeta ever. So glad that although we are of different years, all of us are like friends of the same year. No freshies-seniors divide at all. Really really love this group of us. I like it how we are always having random last minute outings, meals, and always making fun of each other. Thanks for starting my summer with a bang!
Then Night Rider 1 (which was my third night cycling in a month). Largest Og turnout from SCAMP!! Haha, enjoyed the whole thing of 44km with awesome company Udeta!!!! :)
Then came SOW. SOW was a little tad stressful for me cause I was the OGL which meant that a lot of things I didn't need to worry during Scamp now came to me. Was feeling annoyed at times during the camp, but luckily all went well. And thankfully I had a great Aogl to aid me hahah. He probably won't see this but thanks Adam for helping me with a lot of things, always taking the initiative and always offering help. Also a great pillar of support and like how we work well tgt!
And luckily, Ace of Spades was awesome too and my worries were uncalled for! 3rd for food hunt and 1st for beach games woohooo! Totally loved the mood during beach day, how I can see that they were enjoying themselves a lot, while owning everyone upside down. Made me a proud OGL :')
And was so proud of how much my beach(bitch) i/c ranji has grown! 10 months worth of hard work and beach day was so good, so was she!!!
Then came FIC and flag which had a great attendance from Ace which I did not expect. Was rly happy :)
This year Flag day made me love flag a little more, and a small step towards wanting to join flag comm next year :)
Went Rag with Udeta! Always loved the atmosphere during Rag and Science Rag this year was sooooo good :)
Then Night rider 2 with my lovely Ace!! Only joined them half way because Udeta sent Yiqian off at the airport. But nevertheless had a great time with them, eating all the yummy food. And definitely memorable, because we were caught in a heavy downpour and was stuck in a shelter for around 3 hours shivering in cold. But it was all okay, because we had each other :)
Then, CAME SCIENCE BASH 13. The day I have been waiting for ever since the start of my journey. It was too surreal. And it passed too fast. Didn't really have any emotions after the event even though a lot of people came and tell me it was good. But still glad, both Udeta and Ace came to support! Maybe cause they had contestants to support, but was so touched they bought me flowers too :')
But still a job well done to both the contestants and the comm. :)
One week later was D&D'13. 24 August 2013. The final chapter of my FOP journey. That night still felt like a dream till now, and still leave me choked with tears and beaming with pride whenever I think of it. That night is magical if I have to use one word to describe it. Cried like an idiot during Marcus's video and speech and it was when I realise how much our comm has been through. So many images flashed pass my mind that night, but I'm just thankful I had the chance to be in this wonderful committee. Learnt so much in this one year. Since D&D is about appreciating, let me take some time to thank ppl I have been wanting to thank.
Firstly, would like to thank Marcus for giving me this chance to be in this wonderful comm, and the chance for me to be in pubz to lead the team. Always trusting in things I say, always giving me reminders, and always telling me you believe in my ability. Really really learnt so much from you and thankful to have you as my director.
Secondly, Is my pubz team. Thanks for always supporting me, doing things I ask yall to do no matter how late it is, and always doing a good job. I always believe that one of the reasons why this year's tickets were sold out so fast, is because I have such a great team of pubz members and we did a great job in publicity. Even though none of out first choice was publicity, even me, I'm glad that we all ended up here(and I hope yall too are glad), because I cannot ask for a better team. Amazing how different we all are, but we work well tgt because of how much all of us complement. Really really happy to have the 3 of you with me in this journey :)
Thirdly, is Ace. Thanks for so promptly in filling up the tables and being able to secure 1.5 tables so fast. So so so so surprised but happy at the same time that yall got to come!!! Im really sorry that after SOW, i have been so busy that I couldn't spend any time with yall, but I'm so glad yall are so close :) Really makes me proud :)
Forth, Is Udeta. A lot of yall are disappointed for not being able to get tickets, which I am really sorry for sigh. But am glad that yall wanted to come to support. And we have the Science king!!! :) Really really love ni men!
Next will be dear ngo. Dk if you will ever read this, but I'm rly thankful of how supportive you are. Thanks for coming down even though you are not feeling well. And thanks for always listening to me rant about work stuffs and people! Really really happy to have you and always providing me with laughter! :) Love youuuuuuuuu we will get through this period tgt!!
Ranjiiiiiii! Always being able to relate to how I am feeling. Thanks for always texting me to make sure I'm okay, and to encourage me. Always bitching to me and allowing me to rant to you!!! And always alway showing your support to me. Really really so glad to know you last year during SOW. Can't believe we have only known each other for one year when I feel like I have known you for years!
Last but not least, D&D'13. Thanks for providing me with an experience I will never forget. Thanks for giving me a magical night. Thanks for walking this journey with me. The 21+12 of you have been so so great.
With that, I close the chapter of my first FOP. Dk if I would join another cycle again. But whatever it is, my first FOP journey in Science is something I would never forget :')
